MISSION STATEMENT

Embrace our martial arts brethren and endeavor to seek out similarities while learning to respect the differences in our arts. Honor our teachers by training earnestly, remaining like the cup waiting to be filled, while keeping our minds open to the lessons that surround us each and every moment. Remain humble as we aim for a perfect balance between mind, body and spirit.

THE GATHERINGS

Four times a year, every year, we gather as a family to share and learn from one another without the burden of ego, politics or any of the other issues that plague our community. To quote our Mission Statement, we “embrace our martial arts brethren and endeavor to seek out similarities while learning to respect the differences in our arts.” Each Gathering is unique unto themselves and explore different aspects of our training.

2010 WINTER GATHERING DVD

This DVD is a collection of highlights from the 2010 Winter Gathering presented by the Whipping Willow Association. Each year in December the Whipping Willow Association is honored to present this event to promote and preserve the deep-rooted heritage of the martial arts. HISTORICAL PRESERVATION GROUP

Historical Preservation Group (H.P.G) is a collection of Martial Artists and filmmakers who are dedicated to recording and preserving the legacy’s of today’s great Martial Arts Masters. Too often we are left with only hearsay and speculation, while the incredible stories and history of our arts are lost with time.

A 2005 inductee into the Martial Arts History Museum Hall of Fame, Sifu Carrie is an energetic mother, wife, martial artist, author, instructor and competitor. She has managed to balance her heavy schedule to enjoy her love for the martial arts and her family.
